A St. Petersburg native and life-long resident, Ms. Smith is a partner at Fisher & Sauls and Chair of the Wills, Trusts, and Estates Department. Prior to joining Fisher & Sauls in 2012, Ms. Smith served for three years as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of St. Petersburg and spent two years in a private law office practicing in the areas of wills, trusts and estates, real property, and corporate law. As an Assistant City Attorney at the City of St. Petersburg, Ms. Smith represented the Mayor, City Council and City Administration, focusing her practice in the areas of land use, contracts, ordinance drafting, and code enforcement.

Ms. Smith is very active in several local professional associations, including her service as 2016-2017 President of the St. Petersburg Bar Association, an organization serving approximately 1,000 local attorneys and judges. She is a member of the Suncoast Estate Planning Council Board of Directors and was selected as a member of the 2017-2018 class of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel Florida Fellows Institute. She currently serves as a Board Member for the Pinellas Community Foundation. She served on the Suncoast Hospice Professional Partners Council for five years. In 2015, Ms. Smith was a finalist in the “Woman to Watch” category of the Iconic Women of Vision Awards presented by the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce.

In the community, Ms. Smith volunteers her time at the Community Law Program Elder Law and Probate Clinics, providing legal advice and services to low-income Pinellas residents. She also served as a Guardian ad Litem in the Sixth Judicial Circuit from 2008 to 2016 and had the distinction of being named a “Master Guardian ad Litem” for her dedication and skill in advocating for children in the dependency system in Pinellas County. For her outstanding contribution to pro bono legal services, Ms. Smith was awarded the 2018 Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Award for the Sixth Judicial Circuit (Pinellas and Pasco).

Ms. Smith currently volunteers with Lawyers for Literacy as a third grade reading tutor and serves on the Board of Trustees for First United Methodist Church – St. Petersburg. She was previously a volunteer in the Doorways and Academy of Finance programs at Northeast High School for 8 years, where she mentored students in professionalism and career development skills. She has served as a Puppy Raiser for Southeastern Guide Dogs, Inc., raising a fantastic yellow lab puppy named Hawkeye, who is now a service dog for a veteran with PTSD.

Ms. Smith graduated Magna Cum Laude from Stetson University College of Law, where she received a full merit scholarship and was selected for the Honors Program. While an undergraduate student at The College of William and Mary, Ms. Smith was an active member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and was inducted into numerous academic and leadership honor societies, including the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She graduated high school from the International Baccalaureate Program at St. Petersburg High School. Ms. Smith remains a proud and active alumnus for each of her beloved schools.

Ms. Smith is an avid traveler and, when not working or volunteering, is generally either planning or enjoying her next travel adventure.
